Code PO153

My friend has a 98 Explorer with the 4.0 SOHC with 180,000 miles. It has a code PO153 for the o2 sensor. I don't think the o2 sensors ever been replaced before. I'm pretty sure the o2 sensor is bad. How many o2 sensors are there? Where are they located? Is Bosch a good replacement?

It's the sensor on the driver side closest to the engine. Is the exhaust bad on that side close to the engine before the sensor?

I don't think the exhaust is bad. I didn't hear any exhaust leaks, but I will check on that.
