Does anyone know what the stock coil springs in a 94 Explorer are rated at? Also, what the ratings on Superlift's Dual rated 6 " coil springs are.

:exp:

Thanks,

Jon

I had a problem finding that out too.. but if you lifting and wanting a softer spring, look at early bronco springs. They are much more flexy than the ttb ones ;)

The Explorer springs are rated to almost 600#. That has to do with the short arm leverage of the TTB. Compared to a SAS setup, the leverage arm is about half as long -- hence the larger spring rate for the TTB.

For a low cost alternative spring that works pretty well, try a late 70s F 150 spring. I'm runing a 77 SAS spring on mine, and they work pretty well. Lots of flex!
