I just put on a magnaflow 14" muffler and a cold air intake for my 05 v6, and im so impressed. My acceleration is 1000000000 times better and it sounds like a beast. So heres the guide to a budget friendly cold air intake:
You need:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SPE-9405/
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WLK-41981/
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/GRM-10-001/
(optional) http://www.2kracing.com/Product/8244.html
And a metal bendable 4" hose from home depot.
Disconnect battery.
1. Put the correct adapter on your spectre tube for your maf sensor
2. Attach the 3.5 to 3 inch reducer to the adapter on the side that will connect to your intake hose.
3. Cut slit out of hose for maf sensor.
4. Slide the hose over the adapters, this will just make it look better and insulate a little bit.
5. Connect your air filter to one end and your maf intake to the other. (Make sure the sensor airflow arrow is pointing in the right direction).
6. Install a heat shield if you bought one.
reconnect battery and enjoy your extra horses!
