Well for all of the Colorado contingent that couldn't make it you REALLY missed out... There were only three of us but we had a blast... I think this is a great run for a bigger group to do later on this year... It was PERFECT... The stockers can make it... There are some great hill climbs and hills to decend as well... The scenery is EXCELLENT... And at the end I can't think of a better way to finish a run than a great water crossing... This one was perfect... I think I spent 30 min playing in the water... Going back and forth to see how much water I could get out... Chris has some great video of it and I'm going to try and get it turned into some windows media player movies to put up a link for... He even got one in the truck with the water coming down all over us...

I think we should get together and do this one again with a bigger group soon... Its only a half day run round trip including drive time from Denver and back... So maybe we can run another trail up there too...

yes it was a fun trip :). You forgot to mention the crazy mountain biker we saw though! Lets see, we were filling up gas and rearranging CB's and so forth, when some ones car alarm started going off (not in our group), he shouted franticly for them to "go back to denver!!!" after which point he was talking on the phone about the explorers in the parking lot commenting on how "these things will never see off a paved road"... well an argument insued in which insulted our vehicles, our driving styles, our off-road abilities, as well as our personal appearances, telling us several times to "get our ***** back to denver", I thought I was going to have to pull out my trusty 9mm there for a while, thankfully he didn't start throwing punches or anything, LOL.

If I ever get to run a trail with you Matt, remind me to try to stay close to you. That may be safer for me. :)

Anyways, where is that trail located? Sounds like a blast to do.

Those kinds of people are so funny. If you asked where he's from, I bet it's not colorado, any way I wish I could've made the trip... I wish I could make it this weekend as well but I have a stinkin wedding to go to.

It was a great time and a fun trail we'll have to do again soon - before all the water's gone from the creek (as Heath demonstrates below :D)!

Thanks to Heath & Matt for runnin' it with me! As for "Mr. Grumpy Mountain Biker", I agree rustytr, he was probably a "city slicker" just like us, trying to act like an outdoorsman who's "above" having to use a vehicle. Yeah, right...

Anyway, a map of roughly where we were can be found here: Dead Link Removed
