confusing box building question

I am going to build a box for my 12 inch audiobahn sub However i am unsure how to do it.

with the bottom peice should i add the back peice to the backside of the bottom peice, or like sandwich the back peice between the top and bottom.

any tips on making a box will help me greatly.

as long as your box is strong enough, either way will be fine. if there is a weak spot, the pressure will find it. i've seen someone blow out the side of his box because it wasn't made very well. i suggest using at least 3/4" mdf (if it's a real high power sub like the 1205X or higher, 1/2" is better), liquid nails, wood screws, and finally silicone to seal the inside seams. then you'll have an indestructable subwoofer enclosure.
