Convert Full time hubs to manual???

I have an '03 Ranger and I was wondering if anyone has ever done a conversion of the full time hubs to manual ones.

I would like to stop spinning the half shafts, diff and propshaft while driving on the highway.

There is no conversion available to convert the front end of your truck to part time.

i thought the ranger edge was a 4x2 with a 4x4 suspension?

Nope we got true $X$. The issue is they went from the airpulse hubs to full time locked, splines in the halfshaft straight to the hub!

For as much as most of us use 4X4 it would be much more fuel effecient and induce less wear in the diff and halfshafts.
