Coolant leak.

Losing coolant on my ford explorer, no sign of any leaks. Also there is no white smoke

Do you see any white residue anywhere on the engine? That can be a sign of a coolant leak as well.

If you really suspect a head gasket, you may want to send in an oil sample to see if any is getting in your engine oil. You can also get a coolant test kit to test for exhaust gases in the coolant (dissolved CO2).
