I bit the bullet and bought one of those nice casted thermostat housings from Simmons Autosportz SimmonsAutosportz . Ordered the proper sensors (Motorcraft SW6146 and DY1269) per Jonathan and then are too be installed with included retaining clips from Simmons. I am sure this is going to be a DOH! moment when one of you tell me how to do so, but I can't figure out how to install the clips. See the attached photo.
Am I supposed to unbend the tangs at the end and bend them back once it is installed? Does not seem to work (or make sense) trying to have clips per inserted then forcing sensor into place. Anybody deal with this before?
