A good replacement fan with heavy duty clutch would be the best option in the desert in my opinion. An electric fan is a good upgrade but there is no "kit" so you will have to wire in a controller and get a good fan. A junkyard E fan from a Taurus, Thunderbird, mark VIII and Cougar are good ones to use and have great ratings.
