Cooper Discoverer M+S on my 2013 PIU?

I'm looking for winter tires for my 2013 PIU, plan to use them 4 months per year. I have the 8x18" steel wheels that came with it.
I've had these Discoverer M+S on my old Cherokee and now on my Ram 2500. They've been very good all-season tires. My Jeep never slipped or slid on snow or ice, but these are more of a truck tire, not typically used on our SUV's.
What's your opinion on putting the 255/55/18's on my PIU?

If you are looking for Winter tires than the Discoverer M+S likely isn't it. Unless it has the Mountain/Snowflake symbol on it, it is just an All-Season (3 season) tire. In fact it is no longer listed on the Cooper Website through Tire Rack. The True North is a Winter tire and must be fairly new since the site doesn't have any reviews on it yet.. The 255/55R18 only has a 1.5% diameter variance from the OEM which should make it a good fit. The only issue I see is that the 255/55R18 is listed as a size for that tire.

My '13 PIU and these tires are outstanding on snow, compact snow/ice, black ice, and slush.
I've been up to our local ski areas several times; we had 4" of powder at home, then added another 18" of mixed powder/heavier wet snow and the PIU did great. No issues, no sliding, and great traction.

My son and I just returned from a week in south-central Idaho at Ketchum/Sun Valley. They've had more snow that the locals can remember. Dry powder every day, and compact snow/ice on all the roads. We drove 1400 miles on compact snow/ice without any problems. Numerous mountain passes, and temperature as low as 2f.
We also drove 80mph (the speed limit) on dry pavement on I84 in Idaho.

These tires are great. They're not any noisier than the typical PIU cop tires, handle well at my typical driving speeds.
I did notice about 1.5 MPG drop, but I would expect that on soft, sticky snow tires.

Now I need recommendations for 3-season "summer" tires!
