Courtesy LED loading-dock Hatch lights

Anyone put any recessed LED lights in the back hatch to light up the cargo area when loading? Was wondering what kind of space is behind the plastic panel.

was considering putting some small LED lights across back panel so when loading it was bright back there. Flea-bay had some that are 3/4 inch and come with a black ring..

Has anyone padded the back panel on the hatch?

You can get a 'stick-on' battery operated motion LED light at Home Hardware for $15.99. I believe they and CTC also have non motion stick-on LED lights as well. I believe a few members have used them. Simple installation.

It's basically hollow behind the panel in certain spots, other spots have some sheet metal portions but behind those are hollow also.

San Man.. do you know if the back bezel just pops off as well?

Hey San man, talking about the plastic cover over the inside of the back hatch on bottom of window.

Yes, it pops off. You have to remove the handle, then there's clips inside and along the top edge. Watch out, they break easily
