I guess its called a valence. Hit a coyote broke the Valence and tore the fog light out of my 99 Mountineer. Where is the best place to order a new one. And how do you get the thing off? Feels like a Phillips screw holding it on but there is only about a half inch of space to get to it. If that makes sense.

go on rockauto.com. you wont find it cheaper anyplace else. as for getting the fog light out, i have found it easier to just pull the bumper off. IIR, there is on nut that is hard to get at/see with the bumper on. to pull the bumper off, is easy as well. unplug your lights, there are four bolts total, two on each frame rail (cant remember off the top of my head if they are 18 or 21mm). when its off, you can change them easily. thats the way i have changed the whole assy. in the past. if someone else has a easier way, please jump in.

+1 on RockAuto. Best price by far

The shipping is 60 bucks on rockauto for the valance. Yea the price is good at 13 bucks but the shipping is nuts.

I may be calling it by the wrong name. I'm talking about the plastic piece that hangs off/below the bumper. The fog lights mount into it. I'll take a pic tomorrow.

lower picture, #5 correct? its mostly called a lower valance, or air dam (which is what they call it). i was just looking at rockauto's page, and they dont list one. next bet is on the link i posted which is LMC truck

Ah, the pricing I looked up was for my ex. I now see you have a mountie.

It's number 2 Vroom.
Looks like $150 or so. Thanks for the link, I'm going to check it out.
I patched mine with liquid weld and metal straps held on with small screws but it looks like crap.
I tried to take the whole thing off so I could get to easier but I could'nt figure out how to get a tool in there to take it off.
I ended up smearing the weld on the outside when it would have been a lot better from the underside.
My first shot at body work was pretty lame.
When I get home tonight I'll take a pic and see if I can figure out how to post it so you can see what I'm talking about.
Thanks again for the help guys.

Here is the valence/wind dam.
Sorry the pics are so big. My first photo bucket.

hmmmmm mounty.....that may be a challenge to find. you will need to pull your bumper off for it. well, you dont really have to, but why make life more difficult then you have to.
