Cruise Control Not Working

Hi there on my 08 explorer eb v6 4x4 my cruise control is not working properly for example its fine on level roads but when there a hill and it needs to down shift it can't find the gear is just keep hunting for gears and revving up and down losing speed going uphill. I have an cold air intake and a magnaflow cat-back and an sct x3 tuner from Hennessey performance as my only mods. Does anybody know what could be causing this thanks.

Sounds common. Have you reset the ECU recently? Try that. Which engine do you have? Which gears? With the cruise on, it will shift quite often to keep the speed steady up and down hills.

bump bump and how do you reset the ecu is it just unhook battery for a certain amount of time pos and neg connections or what and also when i reset the ecu do i need to drive a certain way for a little bit for anything to relearn. Thanks
