cruise control recall?

has anybody done this? i just actually heard about it today by reading one of the posts
 






It's an old recall, reintroduced with allowances for more cars that are using that Texas Instuments switch. TI should get badmouthed even more than Ford, IMHO.

The fix should be a replaced CC cutoff solenoid on the master cylinder.
The old fix was a wiring harness with a fuse (which I found at a junkyard and installed)
Ford ran out of parts a long time ago, and resorted to disconnecting the cruise control if someone took their vehicle in.

Now it's been reintroduced. I also find it no coincidence that it came out precisely after C4C ended, to save some money. :D
