cruise control speed amplification module

does anyone know where to find the speed amplification module for the cruise control. the ford dealer diagnosed it as the problem but want $300 to replace it. i bought the thing for $100 but can't find it to save myself. i have taken much of the dash apart and peeked everywhere with mirror and flashlight. don't tell me that $200 is the price for knowing where to put the "X". please help

It is above/behind the glove box. Open the glovebox, press the sides of it in where the little stops are so you can open the glovebox all the way past the stops so it hangs down on the hinges. Look inside the dash above the glovebox and there it will be. I just did it on my '94...sorry, didn't have to take any of the dash apart to do it. Oh well... Hope that helps.

yes that helps a lot . it's fixed. now i know all about the dash. i don't know if i feel a tremendous sense of accomplishment or just a profound sense of relief. thanks
