Cruise not working

Ive read several things but not finding a solution.
2004 Ford Explorer 4.6 v8 rwd
Cruise does nothing!
Horn works , no abs light on, no check engine light, changed brake pressure switch on master cylinder, checked fuses, brake lights function propperly, turn on headlights and the lights on the steering wheel buttons comes on.
What now?
Everything on the vehicle seems to work perfectly except the CC...

My 2003 explorer failed cruise control recently also.
Mine was a simple fix. The cruise cable connects to the throttle body lever.
Due to the miles on mine 240K, it was worn enough that the plastic cable end would not stay attached.

I took a simple twist tie (such as on a loaf of bread) and help secure the plastic fitting to my throttle body lever.
Works great again and easy, cheap, fix!

Just as nice as the next guy... or the one who posted before... just call it like i see it. Pretty rude when someone asked for help they get a pic like that... really helpful. If ppl wanted jokes theyd be on, "the jokes on me", site, not here looking for help.
But i will keep the request in mind.

As a public forum, and per internet etiquette, this is not "your" thread...you do not own it...anyone can comment any way they see fit, so I did.

It's not a case of who's being "the Man", and who's being childish here...in your humble opinion, of course.

It's a case of you being a controller and a bully, and giving me "the Asshole of the year" award, simply because I gave a response (not even to you) that you deemed unworthy of being in "your" precious thread.
