hey guys so i finally got my exploder up on a 6" lift and 35 mts and its awsome in the mud. the only problem is i have a kkm intake and i drive through deep pits and i'm afraid of getting hydro locked. My buddy went yesterday with his bronco with a 9" lift and 37s and hydro locked it.

i've seen some people run pvc to the outside and stick a cone filter at the end. i was just wondering if i could do that and what happens when it rains? wouldnt your filter get drenched?

IMO no, well yes and no. if your using it as a DD then no, because that cotton filter would just let the rain into the piping system and if you dont have a low spot with a purge valve itll go into the engine.

you would have to put like a coffee can over it when it rains/snows, those filters dont do good when they are constantly wet.
