Hey guys,
For the guys who want to swap a Dana 44 front axle I just read about a conversion from Fabritech that swaps an early Bronco 44 into a Ranger. I think it may be helpful but for you guys but am not sure (I am only 15). Check it out in the April issue of Four Wheeler.

BTW,
The kit says it comes with:
-radius arm relocation brakets
-new radius arms
-new radius wraps for C bushing
-two coil support blocks threaded for factory coil stud
-a driveshaft loop
-a tie rod assembly
-a drag link assembly
-an adjustable panard bar
-a panard bar relocation bracket
-a panard bar template
-and all the nessasary bushings and hardware

I just read about that swap and I am looking into it. I would like to perform a solid axle swap on my '93. I got a quote from Currie for $2500 bucks that they said would be a bolt on conversion. I will check into Fabritech and see what they say. Thanks for the info!

I kave done a solid axle swap on a 1980 ford F-150 4x4 about eleven years ago. I now drive a 1993 Ford Explorer that I just completed a solid axle swap on. I can tell you that the swap on the F-150 (same as the swap in Four Wheeler) was much much easier than the swap on the explorer. So be warned that doing the conversion on the explorer is much more involved than the nine pictures show in Four Wheeler.
