okay, i got a 1980 jeep wagoneer front solid axle. i replaced both calipers and now i need to replace the studs. i can't figure out how to get the rotor off. does the hub bolt on, or does it just slide off? if it just slides off, mine is completely rusted on.

surprisingly the local auto parts store employee knew. you have to loosen the cap to the hub then take out some clips and unbolt the hub from the rotor.

you'll need a dana 44/35 spindle nut socket, and snag ring pliers. A pick dosent hurt either.

a pick is almost necessary. i tried with a coathanger, fingers, pliers, even my small snapring pliers, and nothing worked. with that pick, it came right out! but yes, i would say a pick and especailly snap ring pliers are necessary. i already had the hubnut removal tool, it was for my 1st gen explorer. with an impact, came right out.
