Hi everyone...I am having an issue with my '96 XLT...When I put the key in the ignition and turn it the dash lights all come on, but when I go to start it nothing happens. No clicking sound, battery is fine and a buddy of mine that has a remote starter was able to hook it up to the starter and she fired up right away.

I'm thinking that maybe the anti-theft device is locking out the ignition for some reason, but I tried clearing it by locking/unlocking the door from the outside with the key, but it didn't do anything.

Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do next or look at? I've been looking through the anti-theft device thread but haven't found anything yet.

Thanks in advance for your help and ideas.

~Phil

Did you check the ignition switch?
