Hey guys,
I have E46 projectors retrofitting that take D2S bulbs. I was wondering about DDMTuning's bulb quality. My McCulloch 10,000k bulbs just burnt out after 2 years and I need to replace them. I know DDM's kit is good, but what about the bulbs? At 15$ per pair (compared to McCulloch's $130) I was wondering on quality as I've been burned on Ebay specials in the past. let me know. Thanks!

I run ddm in my streetbike and integra, great lighting for the price...great lighting period..

2 years/ no problems on my 5000k 35w headlights. I had about 6 months on my 4300k 35w fogs when one went dead, I mailed it to them and I had a new set (Free - lifetime warranty) within a week and a half. I live all the way across the states from them!! Since then 2 months with no problems.

I have the slim ballasts on my Heads and they ignite every time.. the fogs are the cheaper bigger ballasts, they will misfire on start up maaaaybe once a month.

yah i have ddm in my explorer my jeep and my srt4 aka 8 of there 55 watt kits. they have been threw all hell and back. under water heated up to i dont even kno hotness. have been up in alaska in the super cold and no issues with any of the kits

Have 2 kits on my 05 Ex. a 35 and 55w pair Both put off excellent light. the 55w are borderline too bright but havent gotten pulled over yet ;) Just today started having issues with one of the ballasts but i swapped swapped sides with them and everything is okay. But they come with a lifetime warranty so all is good anways. overall, very nice kit. Just take awhile for them to get the kit to you.

I got my bulbs in 4 days! CA to FL... not bad! I was thinking about getting their 55w ballasts. Right now Im running 35w. I have projectors out of a BMW so not worried about blinding. Can I use just any bulb for 55w or do you need special bulbs to run higher wattage?

What makes a particular bulb a "tuning" bulb? :p:

Afboy (is that Airforce?..jw lol) Man idk what they did wrong with my order but it took them about 2 weeks for the first HID kit. Although they did send me an email apologizing and all. Then the second kit took a little longer than a week. but still def worth the wait *that is if you have to wait anymore. I love my 55w's (10,000k) less of a blue tint than my 35w 8's. Match pretty close though. As for the whole 55w/35w bulb thing. I have no idea.but if i had to guess based on just looking at the replacement bulbs on DDM, you dont have to swap out the bulbs because when youre ordering the replacement bulbs, it doesnt ask anywhere whether they are 35w or 55w.

ddm is great, very impressed.

if you want to change wattage, you simply have to replace the ballast, it is the only thing that changes between 35w and 55w, you can keep your same bulbs.

the only time you need to switch bulbs is for a color temp change.
