Im guessing you are meaning takeing off all badges like Ford emblems, EXPLORER SPORT on the side and rear hatch? I have done this to my second one cause they where already falling off. I get asked what I drive more than I thought I would

Yes, I mean all the badging on the rear gate.

There are several ~1/4" holes in the body under the rear badges that the badge alignment pins go through.
So if I were to remove the badges I would have holes in my liftgate?

Yes. I removed mine to put in reverse lights. I reused some holes but you can see some of them I didn't cover up. 2 holes in the Ford oval and 2 or 3 in the Explorer badge.
