Well, i am getting a new muffler. I want a 40 series. The pipe coming off of my y-pipe is 2 1/4". So i need a 2 1/4" inlet, with whatever outlet. The bigger the better. I want to get a single in, dual out muffler, but the only one that would fit would be a 2 1/4" inlet, dual 2 1/4" outlet on a 40 series Delta flow...

Does anyone have a delta flow, i like loud, i have been running around with no exuast at all for about a month, but i want my radio back. I just need something quieter than no muffler. The 40 series.

Is there a big difference between a regular 40 series and a delta flow?

why go from a dual 2.25 into a single 2.25. the way i was looking at it is getting the flowmaster y pipe.. that has dual 2.5 inlet and a single 3 inch outlet.. u get 2.5 to fit your 2.25s, and the 3 inch inlet will match the muffler with center 3 inch inlet with dual 2.25 or 2.5 outlet. you can also get a custom y pipe made that will be 2.25 inlet, with a 2.5 or 3 inch inlet. but going from dual 2.25 into a single 2.25 ypipe is just cutting down flow, not increasing it

i am not gunna mess with a new y-pipe. I am guessing that when my y-pipe goes from dual, and 'y's into a single pipe, it is 2.25". So, i need a 2.25 or 2.5" inlet pipe and then either a 2.5" or 3" outlet pipe. I am going to get a single in, single out muffler. The inlet is going to match my stock y-pipe which i am guessing is 2.25". The oulet is going to be big as possible. I just wanna know the difference between Original and Delta Flow....

you have a stock y pipe?

and what is the point of having a big outlet if your inlet is small. itz like trying to blow air through a straw but squeezing the inlet to half the original size.

the original has a deeper louder sound, and more resonance inside the x, while the delta has a bit less. go to www.flowmastermufflers.com and check out their sound chart.

what i am saying is that i am not going to bother with a new y-pipe. This is a temperary fix until i can afford an offroad h-pipe with dual 40-series dumped...
