I came across these when I was looking on Yahoo for explorer stuff. Does anyone have these or tried these on their X? I would buy a pair if i knew they would fit. It says 93 to 97 ranger/explorer, and the 97s have the same headlight as the newer 98 to 2001. Something to think about.. check them out anyways, let me know if they would fit. I'm tired of the blurry headlights I have now...

here's the address, cut and paste itDead Link Removed

I took a look at the site you provided.

Question: I am not sure what these lenses are? Can you explain, please?

Thanks....

You got me. I was just shopping around and I ran into them. I don't know much about them, and I wonder if anyone else does. I'm interested in them, but I need more opinions, thoughts, ideas and so forth. So you could say I'm just as lost as you. Give it time, more people will respond.

Those diamond headlight conversions are relatively popular for F150s and Rangers. Problem with that website is, those are most definitely not made for Explorers. Just look at the pic. Also, look at the years. 93-97 were the years that the Ranger frontend remained constant. The Explorer had the same frontend from 91-94 and then 95-01 (00 for Sports). Looks to me like someone just assumed that since the Explorer and Ranger are siblings and shared the same front sheetmetal until the Ranger changed in 93, that the post 93 Ex was the same.

They look like explorer ones sort of..the 95+ anyway...either that or i'm just too tired to figure it out...:smoke:

after thinking, i dont think they'll fit, those look angled, and i though the explorer ones were completly square..

Ya know, you could always just get 98+ mountaineer headlights.

the 98+ mouanteer lights arn't different, are they?

They're alot different. They shine really bright. Their the kind that has a shiny reflector in that back and a bulb that shines toward it. Similar to the new 4runners and pathfinders.

If you look closely to my truck and these lights, the lights on mine are curved like the ones in the pic, except that lower right hand cormer is sharp whereas the ones on my truck are rounded:

those wont fit 95+.ive removed my whole assembly before to put in a billet grill and piaa 9007s. our assembly is 2 piece. the upper part and side are parking lights and turn signal. The lower main part is the headlight lense. Those look like ranger lenses to me.

However, if they did make them for explorers would be cool to pair up HID converson to those also. :) maybe one with 9005 & 9006 so you could have low and high beam. be kinna pricey though but worth it. out current fluted design is like wearing shades compared to the new 01 explorers and sportracs.

You'd have to chenge the entire grille for the headlights from a 98 Monty. here is what they look like:
