Dick Clark dead at 82

(CBS/AP) Host and TV producer Dick Clark has died. He was 82.
Spokesman Paul Shefrin said the "American Bandstand" host had a heart attack Wednesday morning at Saint John's hospital in Santa Monica, a day after he was admitted for an outpatient procedure.

He really did a lot to bring Rock 'n Roll to the mainstream. Watched Bandstand quite a bit as a kid.

It was difficult to watch him on his New Years Eve show the last few years after the stroke because the viewer knew how hard he was trying to still be the old Dick Clark, but it was inspiring that he was able to make it back to even appear in the first place. RIP Dick...
