In the non North American markets, Ford offers a 3.0 Navistar turbo diesel. I spent some time in Panama in 2006, and these trucks were everywhere, most of them were crew cabs. I really wanted to bring one home but couldn't.
Would a cummins 4bt fit the a4ld? if not what tranny can I use? and can I get a link to the 4bt conversion? and where should I get one? new or used?and will it fit the engine mount?
I doubt the 4bt bolts straight up to the AL4D and it's not worth the effort. Use a better trans.
The factory diesel rangers of the 80's are SLOW. I think 60ish hp, and that was 3 decades ago... I'd skip going that direction
