2008 Explorer Sport Trac
Greetings all,

I have been looking on this forum for a while and have never needed to post as i can usually find what i am looking for, today this is not the case and i need your help!

I own a 2008 Explorer Sport Trac Limited, but unfortunately it is a limited that does no have leather seats, it has 6 way powered driver seat and manual passenger seat. I Just bought a set of seats from a 2006 Eddie Bauer, the Drivers side seat is 10 way power adjustable with memory and heat and the passenger seat its 6 way power adjustable with heat. I have the digital climate control and there is a plug for the heated seat switch which is blocked by plastic where it would normally be. my question to all the experts out there is what is the difference between the 6 way and 10 way seats and how much of a pain did i just inherit for myself? should i be able to buy the factory switch for the heated seats to get them to work or am i going to have to wire something new?

I tried to look up the wiring diagrams for both to compare them with no success. any help someone can provide would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Larry

Sorry just noticed i put this in the wrong form and there is a spot for the Sport Trac. But the seats are the same so no biggie!

So i did some more digging and i came across the autozone website that has all the wiring diagrams the heart could desire for FREE! the seats are the same from 2006-2010 which we already knew. From looking at the diagrams the drivers side should be plug and play with no real difference between the 6 way and 10 way as far as different wiring from the seat to the truck and they should be there as well on the pass side even thou i do not currently have a powered passenger seat.

I am still not sure if the seats had memory or if they are heated, does anyone know how to check? I have seen Eddie Bauer Explores with the Suede seats with and without the heat element so its not a standard feature. I believe if they are heated i should just be able to get the switch and be good as it appears all the wiring is already there. not sure what to do if they are memory seats.
