I am getting ready to buy shocks and have been looking at the Skyjacker line. What is the difference between the nitro and hydro and which is better?

I have seen a few that say not to waste time & money on Skyjacker shocks.

I would assume the Nitro is nitrogen charged & the Hydro is Hydrogen charged. Does their web site tell you?

the Nitro is 150 psi pressurized nitrogen gas, the Hydro's are just Hydraulic action Shocks.

gas shocks ride better in my opinion, much firmer and more controlled feel but also a little stiffer

I was close anyways.

Have you looked at Rancho? I would go with them over the Skyjackers.

If they have a mono-tube gas-charged option, go with that. If not, pass on the shocks and buy some Bilsteins.
