Dimmer Switch

No issues with my interior lights or anything staying on or not coming on. But I noticed the dimmer switch has a "switch"? when you scroll all the way down. I can't seem to figure out what it does. Can anyone enlighten me?

The extreme switch position will turn off the interior
lighting (with the door open). It's a helpful feature
during night stealth operations...
