Disable parking wire lock out safety switch??

I just bought a Valor its-700w at Frys for $199.00. I am about to install it and what is the easiest way to wire around the parking safety wire thing so I can keep the video rolling as I am driving? It came with a little rubber boot thing I am supposed to connect to the parking brake.

I have installed numerous head units but never a in dash dvd player. Any help is welcomed. It kinda looks like I can just ground it out and it might work.

Just as I thought that worked, thanks for the shot of confidence. Now, how did I go 3 years without a touch screen head unit.

Yes, ground it out. ( Without the switch) Just add the wire to the ground wire of your hu.

That is what I did. While walking my dog and drinking beer it took maybe 3 hours to install. I can take some pics if anyone wants any. I would recommend the h/u to anyone. The only thing it doesn't have that I wanted is a2dp blue tooth. The h/u, dash kit, wiring harness, 3 year extended warranty, and tax, all equaled $285. Frys is having the sale thru the 21st and it goes back up 100 bucks.

Bc beer takes priority on Fridays. I also re-wired my 3 12's and ran my rca cable upfront instead of using my old low pass hook up wired into the rear sub.
