Anyone know how to disconnect the fuel fill and vent lines to the tank on a '96 Explorer Sport? They look like a much larger version of the "duck bill" connectors on the fuel filter but:
- If it is the same type of tool, there is no room between the connector and the tank to slide it on.
- There are plastic or rubber tabs sticking out slightly from the connector.
Need to do this so I can drop the tank and replace the pump.
Both by Haynes and Chilton manuals indicate the hoses are simply held on by clamps, which is incorrect.
Thanks
Matt
