I bought a DIY Rattler Remote Start/Keyless Entry system. I had problems right from the start with their instruction book having wrong colors for their own wires. But I think I have gotten everything set up right. Solder on all connections.
I think the problem may lie in that my truck might have 2 ignition wires and if so I need to make some changes. I have also heard suggested, that I have a transponder in my key and need to have it switched out.
The keyless entry works but the reomte start doesn't. When the remote start is pressed it turns on the accessories (dashlights come on) makes a few clicking sounds (not the motor) and then turns off. I am thinking ignition wire.
I drive a 93 Sport. If anyone has installed one of these before I would greatly appreciate some advice. Thank you.
