- 2001 Ford Explorer
Hey y'all I just wanted to relay my personal experience with this two day problem we had trying to figure out WTF was wrong with my 2001 explorer..and i will tell you to first replace your 175 amp megafuse! I learned about this little fuse from someone here on these forums who had the same problem as I had. Now on my year model it's right in front of the junction fusebox in the engine, with a little cover over it that you simply flip up, and boom there it is! Takes a 12 metric wrench I think it was, to remove the cables, go to O'Reilly auto for a five dollar part.. And this fixed my low voltage battery light problem when every one else kept saying it had to be the alternator, battery, etc even when we knew these parts were good. It was hard to find this little fuse! Most people seemed like they don't wanna tell you where it is for some reason. Anywho, it is fixed now.
