Door Keypad - 2016 Explorer

We are having a heck of a time getting the touch-pad door keypad to work properly. At times we have to enter to code 7-8 times before it will unlock the car.

With the previous explorer and my current F150 this is never an issue. Is there a special trick to this new keypad??

No, it sounds like yours has a problem. I would take back to the dealer ASAP.

There was a post about a member having a similar problem and it turned out the pad was not seated properly and therefore not making proper contact.
