i'd like to know what you guys think about this...
so im driving along minding my own bussiness when all of a sudden my door flys open while cornering right. of course my x suffers from a sagging door so i figured that i didnt close it all the way, but upon furthur inspection, i have actually broken the latch off of the door. of the three screws that you can see looking at it, the top two have punched through the metal and the latch has gone back inside the door. im not sure if i add a washer that it will clear everything.

any ideas for repairs?

either get a new door and swap over the locking mechanism, or try to repair it with junkyard/new parts.

i've never heard of anything like this before, but if you need to keep it shut, i guess your best option is to wear a thick coat, and use a bungie cord while driving...

You 1st need to fix the sagging door problem or whatever fix you attempt will be a waste of time. Without seeing the damage 1st hand it is hard to determine the appropriate fix. Obviously having access to a welder will go along way with correctly fixing the door latch.

remember that here in georgia there are 2 pull-a-part yards (atlanta north and south) to get parts from for cheap !

what i did was take a washer that i punched down in the middle and put it around the screws. now it holds good as new, but i gotta fix the hinges now. thanks guys

There's also a really good one in Augusta right off of the Interstate. It's about 2.5 hours from Atlanta.

How do you think I got mine to fix my wreck?!
