First off, I am having problems finding a replacement driver's door dome light switch for my 2000. I ordered one from RockAuto and it is not the right one. My harness has a one wire plug on it for the switch and a separate ground wire, and the one I received has a two blade plug. All the photos of my year switch show a double bladed switch. The harness in my door looks like it is stock and has not been modified.
Second, do I need to remove the whole lock assembly to get the switch out? I tried to remove the old one, but couldn't get it to move. I removed the screw that looked like it was holding it on. I have search numerous threads on dome lights, but nothing describing how to actually get it out.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
