Does anyone know a way to run dual flowmasters on a '97 XLT without removing the spare tire? If you do know please e-mail me at MBM4@aol.com. Thanks.:exp:

i made the shop go around it

I went to the local exhaust shop to get myself a new set of pipes. upon my arrival, the guy said that it was a real pain to go around the tire and asked me if i would just take it off and store in the back or something like that. i pointed out to him that it can be done after both of us were under the truck which was on a lift. he was not happy because he had to bend the pipes all special but he did it properly without ever removing the spare. to answer your question, i know that a 93 can have dual exhaust with a full size spare. the only thing that was a problem was i only have one hanger for each pipe. so if i happen to knock them around they might become unwelded, but i have done many things that i shouldnt have in my truck and they are still holding on strong. best of luck.

I have dual exhaust on my '97 XLT without removing the spare. I will try and send you some pics

Could you also send me the pictures?

Sorry I did not get around to the pictures tonight, I will try tomorrow...

I was going to ask the same question.

If you guys have done this before, please send me pics and detailed instructions on this. I know for sure that my muffler guy will say the same as to SPANKY93. I want to point out to him that IT CAN BE DONE!

My email is haktmal@yahoo.com

Thanks a lot!

RTStork, can you send me some info about the dual exhaust as well?

definatly possible. any good shop can do the job... and if they say its gonna be a pain in the ass, that may be so, but they are the ones that chose their profession. I have a dual in/dual out flowmaster 50 SUV muffler. I love it (the chicks do too! ;) ).
