I'm not too well-versed in GPS models and need some recommendations. I did a search but it yielded 43 pages of threads and none of the topics seemed to cover this, so..... here's my new thread :)

If I am accepted for a certain assignment, I may need to purchase a new GPS soon- one of those that you can enter an address into and it will take you to it. However I want to use the GPS on my boat also (I have a Sea Ray 230 Sundancer cruiser). I need to know if anyone has a recommendation as to GPS models that would also work well in the marine environment. It doesn't have to be in color, talk to me in a cute voice, or any of that stuff - but being on the boat, I need to be able to see the screen in bright light.

Any recommendations?

Maybe the Garmin GPSMap 76 series?
http://www.garmin.com/products/gpsmap76

I dont use that tho - cauz I have no interest in going into the water anymore (I've almost drowned twice in my lifetime  )

The Nuvi350 has it, you just have to buy another map for it from garmin. THey load in the SD card slot. It's a pretty nice setup, we sell them at Best Buy.
