I have had my front axle back from getting repaired for a while now and I finially got around to getting it cleaned and painted. I took the housing to a place in bakersfield and had the housing dustless blasted. They did my axle and my friends Dana 30 for $100.00. This was so much better than wire wheeling it. These are before and after pictures. The axles look they were painted grey but that is just bare metal.
Oh OK. I have a D30 that I am gonna put under mine. Want to keep same Lug pattern and I was able to get one for free well the cost of gas to go a couple blocks to pick it up

That looks good. I crawl thru the trails I like to go on. There are some really AWESOME trails here in Colorado that I want to get my EX into. with a D30 and how I drive I will be just fine. I drove a TJ with 37s Front was a D30 and rear was an 8.8. it did awesome. I have a buddy that owns an Off Road Shop so I am able to get things at a really good price plus get to use things in his shop. can't wait to get my Ex back on the road again.
Did some light upgrades this evening, I had already done the interior lights with led bulbs which made a huge difference. I also got around to installing the Brian1 pod brackets that go behind the hood. I will take pictures of the lights installed tomorrow when there is more light.
Made some progress, I made sure my lights worked lol. I re wired my transcooler fan motor because I think the previous owner had it wired to pull air not push it.
I also put the passenger side coil bucket on and the passenger radius arm. I reused the Johnny joint because it was still very tight. These joints are very tough. I also put led lights in my instrument cluster which I will take pictures of later.
Here is the cluster with the new led bulbs. The gauges are much easier to read now. I had at least one bulb out before.

Added some 3m Walmart switches. One is for the light pods, one is for rock lights in the future, and the last one is for a future light bar. I did this mod the other day and it took maybe 20 minutes.
