Dumb question regarding passenger door.

Ok i thought it was just my 99 explorer...but my moms 98 does the same...sometimes when the wife gets out of the car the passenger door sticks and need a bit of force to pop open...same with my moms passenger door...i was thinking WD40 on the latch for the door?


Also on my car on the passenger side the lock sticks as well...it takes a few tries to get the lock to click up....sometimes i'll get it first try. wd40 that as well perhaps?

I would spray some WD-40 similar product into the latch assembly.

Also check the door hinge pins and bushings, replace as necessary. Then replace the plastic bushing on the door latch striker bolt.
