I have a 97 v8 eddie bauer and i was wondering if the dynomax super turbo exhaust would give mine a good sound and perform well? basically, is it a good idea.

flow maxx

flow maxx and magnaflow mufflers are pretty sweet, i wonder if they come for your model though.

I saw a dynomax for 125 plus shipping but you might get a better price at midas

That would be flowmaster and magnaflow, and they do sound good. Magnaflow and Dynomax are a bit mellower IMO, and thus don't get as annoying. I don't know how much the dynomax system you're looking at is, but usually you can go to a local muffler shop and get a custom system (muffler and tailpipe) for around $200.

It will sound great. Very little interior res., no annoying highway noise, but will sound pretty good when you kick it.

Do a search on Dynomax for more opinions, including mine. I got one $95 with a $25 rebate good deal. For those looking for that awesome sound - I think other mufflers are better than the Dynomax Super Turbo from other readers posts, it sounded pretty good, not V8, when I first installed but has mellowed over a few months. As an early year (93) owner it's worth the upgrade - but not the power of a V8 if you have driven one before (former 67 & 68 camaro owner).

I got a flowie on the 2-door and the 4-door is waiting for a dyno that Maranda got me off ebay for $25! Look on ebay for used ones with pics. You can find some good deals on there.

Dynomax

Where did you get yours dolphan? 95 is a great price! I just need the muffler right, i dont need the whole system?
thanks

I think I bought it through Jegs or maybe direct at Dynomax web site itself under specials - it was a manufacturers rebate at their web site

Brian1,

I have a dynomax system and I really like it. Its not too loud (you notice it the first day and then disappears) and sounds good. I'd recommend anytime.

I have a Dynomax system on my 95 4dr and like it. It has just enough sound to make it noticable over stock.

I got lucky about 2 yrs ago and got mine from www.roadstore.com . They were blowing the kits out for $50 + shipping for the 95-96 model yrs. I couldn't pass it up. Installation took less then 2 hr. in my garage on the floor.

I wouldn't mind some day putting a Flowmaster 1 into 2 muffler and run duals out the back. It will just have to wait, unless the Dynomax goes bad.

Thanks. I am going to get the dynomax system because some of you have said it is good and it is so cheap. I can get it for $88 delivered to my door after the rebate although I will look around town for one first.

hey guys,

just incase you're interested, i might be able to get you dynomax turbo mufflers (just the muffler, no kits) for whatever model you want for about $70-$75 not including shipping.

email me at kaboom@engineer.com
and we'll figure something out

dynomax vs. flowmaster

Now, which one sounds better the dynomax super turbo or the flowmaster 50 series delta muffler. Flow master kit is 156.00 at jegs and summit and the dynomax kit is 95.00 at jegs and at summit racing.
