Going to do the e-fan thing when it warms up. After lots of reading, I would prefer the Hayden controls with coolant temp probe. Is there a 3/8 NPT coolant port available on the 4.0 OHV that is not being used? If any one has comments on the radiator probe, please let me know if it works or any problems you have had. Any one use the Taurus/Sable OEM Ford fans? Thanks in advance.

I use a Flex-a-Lite Black Magic Fan 150 ( Dead Link Removed ). This unit has a radiator temp probe.

I have had absolutly no problems with the temp control via the radiator probe or the fan itself.

I use the Hayden adjustable fan control that has a rad. probe, I set it to kick on the fan at 150 degrees and it shuts off at 120. keeps the gauge right in the middle even during the summer where we had a couple 100 degree days, and running the A/C full blast. I have a E-fan off of a 1986 Pontiac 6000 with a 2.8 V-6 and it's almost a bolt on deal.
