What are the specs on that box?

its 1.5 cubic foot plus the port and its tuned at 30 hz

its the vented design they suggest on their website just adjusted a little for nicer exterior dimensions.

u putting an e12A in there

yeah, lol thats why that is the title.

actually chente is putting the sub in after the box gets to him hopefully late next week.

looks great.. hey drew.. do you just buy the mdf at home depot or are there any other cheaper places? i went to home depot and a sheet of 3/4 mdf was $36. does that sound about right?

it should be $21 dollars for it at home depot

lookin good, love the port work...love elemental designs too!...i'm trying to decided between an Elemental Designs sub set up or a Resonant Engineering setup

well ed=sq re=spl

its not that simple, but thats the defining way i'd choose between them.

of course what do i know, i run mtx.

Looks like you ####ed up the last board. It's too short. The front/back are too long too, but I assume you trimmed those?

LOL!..the sides look they are filled in with the peices laying around and i doubt he ####ed anything up

I would reverse that order though. ed=spl re=sq :D

Mabey it is just the picture, but that port looks rediculously long!

Whats the cross sectional on it?

Looks fine to me. To get 1.5 cubes tuned to 30 with any descent port area it would need to be very long.

yea, that port needs to be that long in order to get an increased output and tune it low.

here's the simplest run down ever:

big box + high tuned port = SHORT PORT

big box + low tuned port = medium port

small box + high tuned port = medium PORT

small box + low tuned port = LONG port

of course it's such a simple outline to the point I even excluded the port area, which makes a BIG deal on port size too.

download winISD pro for a decent beginers program to help figure out box size and port size and tunings, it even comes loaded with a huge amount of well known subwoofers in the list. but a lot are still missing.

even as a beginers program it's still complicated to learn to use. But well worth learning!
