Spring East Coast Run At Paragon

Karol and I got to talking last night, and we would like to set up a spring run at Paragon, and get as many people to show up as possible. If we can get 15 vehicles, we can have a whole weekend at a discount price, and they will recognize us as a club. We would like to do it sometime in April, since the weather will allow for travelling to get there, and there will also probably be a lot of nice mud to play in. At this point, all weekends at Paragon are open in April, so the quicker we can book one, the better chance we have of going when we want to.

Paragon is located in the Pocono Mountains just outside Hazleton, PA. Check out the link Paragon for more info. There are trails there for everything from full stocker to as nasty as you wanna be. As far as event length, we can go from 1-3 days. There are several reasonably priced hotels/motels in the area, and a campground close by.

No problem riding with someone. I'll probably have 3 empty seats, so you can ride with me. By then I should have a locker in the rear too, so we can hit some of the tougher trails (within reason)

but of course we all have to remember that not everyone has their trucks set up right now and may be a little hesitant to start tackling things just yet.. I have had my truck for some time and I am not nearly finished nor is it even close to being able to tackle some of the harder things you guys did last time. I learned an expensive and valuable lesson in August. I am sure everyone is willing to go to the Spring Coast but it is rather early (since Christmas isn't here yet). Everyone also needs to be reminded that there ARE stock trails at Paragon and they are pretty exciting while not being damaging to their vehicle. There are also various bypass roads that allows you to go around any obstacle that you feel your vehicle cannot handle.... What is more important is that the people at Paragon understand when someone is new to the sport and is very helpful by giving tips and making sure you really don't do things that your vehicle is not capable of. There is an air of professionalism there that I have not seen in some clubs and organizations. So everyone needs to understand that there is no reason to feel intimidated or to think that your truck isn't up to a certain "standard" There are a few items that need to be on your truck just because it's a safety issue....other than that.... well it doesn't matter..

before i left from school i drove the 20 mins to paragon just to look at it. it was middle of the week but after seeing it and poking around a bit, its damn cool and i'm definately in. i'm brinigin my roommates and we're gonna make a weekend out of it. possibly camping out there if i can get my tent up there, or just drbving back to my apartment each night its gonna be more than worth the trip for anyone, since i'm so close to it i'd be more than happy to meet anyone up there anytme after january 14 to do some trail riding on a weekend. i'd be willing to try to make this more organzed if possible.

Just to let you know, especially those who have been up to Paragon, several folks were in cutting some new trail about 1/2 way down Blueberry several weeks ago and it adds both easy and entertaining ways around the worst of the rocks in the middle. The easy ways are some easy trails that weave through the trees a bit, and the entertaining way is that back there somewhere is a real nice rock, only 3 or 4 feet high, but with some entertaining entry and exit lines. Fun to play on. Anyway, with these minor additions to that trail, it can be easier to get a group though.

If you go the last two weekends in April Ill be able to go . I know Ill be doing my TAXES the second weekend and Im pretty sure Ill be in FLA the first weekend.

Ill have new gears and maybe even new tuires by that time whoo! hoo!

Quite possible, but I am not sure. It has been a while since I was in anything that was not somewhat lifted through there.

The best thing is to wait until the winter is over and let someone else run it to see what other rocks may have become uncovered. The bypass gets around the worst (or best) of it and the intent was to make it more stock friendly.

Long time away...I am in anytime in April...It will be a great test after recent mods.
