I am going to get a ECM for my 1993 X.
The truck is a 49 state fed. Auto 4x4 with manual transfer case. 373 gears
The info on the ECM in the truck is

EEC-IV EFI-MAY46G BAT1

F37F-12A650-ZB

63EMG46A15 7611 - 450 3F02

So can any one tell me what I need to have to get the right one for my truck?
Also dose the BAT1 mean its batch fire with the injectors? Or can one tell from the computer at all?

I am having problems that are there then gone. Truck runs fine and seams to have full even power just a kind of ruff idle and some strange things when trying to find out why and testing . Things like one time pull the plug on the MAF and no CEL comes on but the next time it will. Same with a KOER test and getting codes 136 and 172. One time there, the next time there gone but they only show when doing a KOER test. KOEO no codes show at all.
will not go into cylinder balance test at all. UN plug the AIC and no changes same with the MAF . So as I said many string things going on. I did check all the grounds and they seam to be okay but now my multy meter went on the frits also GGGRRRR! any way I still want to get one so that I have one on hand for testing and just in case as living in Calif. not many X's in the junk yards here and finding one with a ECM in it is harder still then add a need for a fed ECM and well you get the idea. my feeling is mine is going into closed loop on its own, not setting any codes and is the reason for a bad idle and MPG. As every thing has been cleaned replaced, or tested that can be. So just frustrated now and can not think ,of any thing other.
So how about it any help? I would really love to do this one time only and get it right not my normal of many trys before I get it with lots of time and money spent un needed doing it. LOL
Thanks for the help

If you're going to buy one retail (Autozone, Rockauto, etc) at most you'll need to know the transmission and California or Federal emissions. The one you're after is an A-1 CARDONE #785512.

If you're going the junkyard route, make sure that the part number matches up: F37F-xxxxxx-ZB.

OK, you have it figured out already. It is indeed a batch fire setup, which prevents it from being able to perform a cylinder balance test.

I would try a few things before getting another PCM. First would be new ford 02 sensors, and then another MAF in that order.
I would also check the ect sensor.

If you do end up looking for a PCM, the BAT1 code is what you need to look for.

For 93 there are 2 different configs for both auto and manual trans--49 state fed
and a third config for california. Believe it or not.

BAT1 will have 2 02 sensors ( one on each bank) and no egr or wired in cam sensor.

Thanks as that is about what I was thinking and also finding in my searches.
by the way the O2s are okay and some what new (2 years old Bosh) the MAF has been changed for a known good one and same thing some times you get a CEL and some times you do not . The ECT sensor is also new and less then 4 month old. All of the sensors were replaced trying to fix this problem as it has been going on for some time. it has gotten better with sensor changes and some other fixes but I know it can get better as I have been in a few 944 and 93's that ran smooth as silk. I am still leaning that I may have a bad ECU and by that meaning one that is just starting to act up but not enough to give really hard problems yet and that is why I am trying to head it off at the pass now so thanks for all the help and any other ideas are welcome same with any offers of a ECU some one may have hint hint.
