on my 2002 explorer, when doing the self test, (hold the odo button while starting) -- the EE codes are these:
http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=160035

and to read them, the message will say EE then a couple more clicks it will say
CF1 00
CF2 00
and so on... (correct me if im wrong)

so for CF1 i got #15, so that means i got a memory test failure???

what does that mean???

also, will it show a 3 digit code??? or only double digits??

i was just reading up on this, and it says if its getting no power this could be the problem, also if it is getting power then i need to replace the PCM...

wheres this PCM located??? and how much will it cost???

As far as I know, EEC-IV codes were for pre OBD-II vehicles.

well what does cf1 15 mean???

or does CF1 15 not mean anything at all, because someone said its not even a code at all, but used for EE level (whats that)?

Yes, the link you referenced is for EEC-IV systems, but 95 and later use EEC-V engine control. You need to use a scan tool for EEC-V systems.

No idea what CF1 15 means.

On a EEC-V system, the codes are OBD-II (aka OBD-2) and will look like PXXXX where XXXX is a number (e.g. P0171 is a OBD-2 code).
