EGR Sensor valve Help!!!!

Does anybody out there know the calibration settings for the egr sensor valve. I put a new one on and it controls the opening and closing of the egr valve. I think it has to be calibrated, but I don't know how. If you could look in your hanyes manual I would appreciate it. Even after replacing the FPE Sensor, EGR Sensor and the egr valve the codes still say it is not closing properly. Plus gas mileage still stinks. 94 auto, 146K

Have you tried disconnecting one of the battery terminals from the battery to reset the computer? I just replaced the EGR valve and EGR sensor too and do not know of any way to calibrate the sensor. You may have gotten some faulty parts.

Hey,

Done that 15 times, still get the same code. I got the parts from ford and a mechanic firend said he thought it needed to be calibrated by turning the little screw at the top, which makes sense to me. Because the code is 33 which is EGR not closing, just guessing at this point, thanks
