Electrical accessories in driver side door

I have two questions: the dome light does not come on when driver side door is opened. It does come on when the other 3 doors are open. The power side view mirrors work sporadically. 2001 Ranger XLT

...as for the door/light problem it could be several things including a bad ground...for the mirrors, it could be loose connections...these usually happen when aftermarket stereo/alarms are put in...
