2000 Mercury Mountaineer
Hi. I have a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer, 4.0. Yesterday some electrical issues came up. When you turn on the turn signals they work, but if you hit the brake when you're signaling, the right signal sticks (doesn't blink). I tried a lot of things that were suggested on the site. The hazard switch appears to be okay, fuses and bulbs good. When I disconnected the brake switch all the signals work as they should, but of course won't have brake lights. Any ideas? A short somewhere? Bad mulitfunction arm?

If you have a tilting steering column, push it all the way up/forward and test the functions.

If that helps you probably have multi function switch or connector issues in the column. GL

Tilt steering wheel.

Yep, tried that and it didn't help. Also sprayed some WD40 around the hazard light and worked it several times.
