ELM327- FORScan lite connection issue solved

I have an ELM327 wifi diagnostic scanner that I use with my Iphone 5s to scan with FORScan lite. I can get my 2103 Taurus SHO and my 2007 E-450 6.0L motorhome to connect just fine, but always seem to have problems getting a connection with my 2006 Explorer XLT. Very hit or miss, and the FORScan program is such a big improvement over my old OBDII reader.

Anyhow, after trying to connect for 15 minutes in the garage last week, I had an epiphany. Probable interference from the house wifi. I took the Explorer out past all the houses into the desert, past all potential wifi, and the ELM/Iphone connection grabbed immediately. Booyah!

I have an ELM327 device that works great with my iPod 5 on WiFi using iOBD2, but I cannot get it to work on my Android devices over Wifi. I ordered another (they're so cheap) but the new one is Bluetooth.
